I am Nkrumah Douglas Yaw. A Ghanaian, 28 years and born in Ashanti region of Ghana. I graduated University of Education, Winneba in 2010 and holds a Bachelor of Education in Information Technology. I am a Professional Teacher and had my Civil Service in November,2010 and I have worked at the Edwenase Rehabilitation Center, under the Social Welfare Department of Ghana.
Currently, I am on European tour for LoszuGhana Association. The main objective for the tour is to introduce LoszuGhana Childrens village ( www.loszughana-orphanage.ch) to schools, villages, towns and interested people to support our dream to provide home for street kids and Orphans.
The second reason is to build more contact to open doors for more volunteers to participate in our voluntary work placements.
I am in European countries such as Germany, Netherlands,Austria and Switzerland.
In last year August/ October 2010, i have been in Western Countries such as Sweden, Germany, Switzerland to study the Western Education System in Backaskolan, Ystad and also the way of life of Western people to be able to understand the volunteers coming to a different culture(African culture).
I also attended the LoszuGhana Conference held in Berlin- Germany in September, 2010 on behalf of the Head Office of the Organization in Ghana.
I have participated in the EURO-AFRICAN Training Seminar on EVS Capacity and Partnership Building, carried out by the ICYE INTERNATIONAL OFFICE in the frame of the above mentioned project, 2009 in ACCRA/GOMOA FETEH, GHANA.
I have also participated Student World Assembly (SWA) Conference held in Ghana on February 26, 2005, The Kick-off Event to launch(KNUST) chapter and a member of Global Youth Action Network in Ghana.
I am a founding member of the organization together with Nana, Malte and Peter.
