Project:
The School is located in Tanoso, close to the LoszuGhana Office. The Volunteer Room, where most of the volunteers meet at the weekends is a few minutes walk away. Great Achievers is a big school with about 400 students. The classes range from Nursery (2-3 years) to Junior High School (15-16 years). The school has two headmasters who has divided the responsibility between them so that Nana is responsible for the financial aspect of running the school and Michael is responsible for the educational side. Michael is also a really great drummer who, if you are lucky, will teach you to drum.
Volunteer work:
Assisting the local teachers or teaching by yourself. It is up to the volunteers to take action. Former volunteers have helped to build a basket/volley court and a football field so there is no reason to feel bored in the breaks.
Accommodation:
Volunteers stay at Giftys host family which is very welcoming or in the Volunteer room in Tanoso.
