Project:
Rehabilitation home for physically disabled and mentally challenged ranging from 15-40 years under the Social Welfare Department in Ghana. People are prepared for life outside of the centre by learning handcrafts such as shoemaking, dressmaking and beadsmaking.
Volunteer work:
The volunteers have the possibility to exhibit their skills and potentials in assisting the disabled and mentally challenged people. The dream of the project leaders is to teach them skills which can help them in their future, so any help in this regard is much appreciated. Past volunteers have taught art, dressmaking, beadsmaking, literacy and mathematics to the students.
Accommodation:
Volunteers are hosted in the project or in a host family.
