The Team Douglas Yaw Nkrumah - Programme Co-ordinator in Ghana
Douglas is 27 years old and studies ICT at the Winneba university in Ghana. For one year Douglas has worked voluntarily for ICYE(icye.org ) organising projects in Kumasi and being contact person for volunteers of ICYE.
In 2009 Douglas took part in the Euro-African Seminar for Voluntary Services in line with the Youth in Action Programme (Certificate of participation , link1 , link2).

Asare Yaw - Project Coordinator
Nana studied Electrical Engineering at the Kumasi Polytechnic and is 25 years old.
For one year Nana has worked voluntarily for ICYE (icye.org ) organising projects in Kumasi and being contact person for volunteers of ICYE.
In 2009 Douglas took part in the Euro-African Seminar for Voluntary Services in line with the Youth in Action Programme (Certificate of participation , link1 , link2).
Douglas and Nana are the only representatives from ICYE in Kumasi, they currently care of 9 volunteers including me who are stationed in and around Kumasi. From their work for ICYE, Douglas and Nana are have contacts with all of the project leaders in Kumasi, Sunyani and Accra.

John Blow - English Representative
John lives in London, England. He is about to head to Leeds university to study English but before going he took a gap year which he spent a few months in ghana and had an amazing time..

Peter Dwumah - Executive Director
Peter Dwumah is lecturer for sociology and social work at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana.
He is the Executive Director of ghanavolunteer.co.uk.

Millicent Owusu Ansah - salaried Secretary Millicent is 20 years old and has been working for Loszughana / Ghanavolunteer as a salaried secretary since May 2009. She is responsible for secretarial work, airport pickups and looking after volunteer needs.

Jeanette Tullemor - Danish Representative
Jeanette is 22 years old and lives in Esbjerg, Denmark. She went to Ghana from February 2008 - August 2008 to work in a Rehabilitation Centre and kindergarten in Kumasi. From February 2009 going she will study to become a midwife. She plans on going to
Africa as a volunteer as an educated midwife later on.

Julia Schimpfössl
Julia is 21 years old and lives in Salzburg, Austria. She quit a school which focuses on sports at the age of 15 and started working. She has spent one year in Ghana to work in Columbus Orphanage in 2008/2009.

Martina Widmer
Martina is 21 years old and lives in Gommiswald, Switzerland. She has completed a three year commercial apprenticeship at the University of Aplied Sciences in Rapperswil and afterwards worked for one year. 2008 she spent six months in Kumasi, Ghana in the Columbus Orphanage. Back in Switzerland she is now working.
Tamara Voser
Tamara lives in Lenzburg/Switzerland. Since the end of 2008 she's been studying economics extra-occupational in Brugg. During an one year stay in Ghana in 2007/2008 she worked voluntarily at the International Community School and the Great Achievers School where she taught french.

Germany Katharina Sinn - German Representative
Katharina lives in Frankfurt/Main in Germany. She completed High School in 2008 and afterwards spent eight months in Kumasi, Ghana as a volunteer in the Children House School. In the end of 2009 she starts studying in Germany.

Ginevra Boatto is 27 and is a PhD student at University of Padova, Italy, at Engineering faculty. She likes history and anthropology and plans to move to Elsewhere to study the evolution of mankind. She went to Ghana in 2007 and met Nana and Doug. She is still amazed that there are people living so far from her but being so close in mind

Saana Porsanger - Finish Representative
Saana is 20 years old and is from Rovaniemi, Finland. At the moment (may 2009) she is working in Kumasi, Columbus Orphanage,and will be going home in August 2009.
Before coming to Ghana she completed high school, and will continue schooling after returning home.
