Loszughana.de / Ghanavolunteer.co.uk is a non-profit NGO that helps people volunteer in Ghana, Africa. It was originally formed by Douglas Yaw Nkrumah (Ghanaian), Malte Löhlein (German), Asare Yaw (Ghanaian) and Peter Dwumah (Ghanaian) in 2008. Our commitment is to give you help and advice with regards to choosing your project, finding accommodation, organising flights and vaccinations and trying to answer any other questions you might have. Once you are in Ghana we will continue to look after you and ensure you get the most out of your time there, including picking you up from the airport and providing an introduction camp with a chance to learn about Ghanaian culture and meet other volunteers.
Our aim is to motivate young people everywhere to volunteer, promoting intercultural learning and understanding. We try to help them do so by offering a framework for volunteer opportunities at low but fair prices for all parties involved. The NGO raises awareness on social issues, is active with its HIV/AIDS prevention campaign, different malaria prevention actions and the promotion of a healthy style of living.
Ghanavolunteer is registered in Ghana as an NGO and in Germany as an Association under the name "loszughana e. V."
